Business supports MK Young Musician competition

The Milton Keynes Young Musician of the Year competition was launched on 17th September at the Rotary International meeting in Newport Pagnell.

Supported by the Milton Keynes based HQ of international company Kawai Pianos and Rotary International, this new event is being organised by the Milton Keynes Festival of the Arts for Dance, Music and Drama.

Musicians will be selected from the 2015 Milton Keynes Music Festival to take part in the competition, which will be held at Walton High school in Walnut Tree in March, which will then see four performers going forward to also compete in the Rotary International Young Musician of the Year competition.

Festival Vice Chair, Pat Haig, said: “We are very excited about our partnership with Rotary International, who really celebrate the achievements of young people, and we are very grateful to Kawai Pianos who provide us with their wonderful concert grand pianos which makes our festival a very memorable experience for all our performers.”

All festival and competition details can be found in the syllabus for the 2015 annual Milton Keynes Drama and Music Festival available via download from www.miltonkeynesfestival.org or by post from Pat Haig on 01908 504766 / pat@tscevents.co.uk
