Wayside open new BMW and Mini dealership

Wayside BMW showroom - MK CommerceThe Wayside Group opened a new BMW & Mini dealership in Milton Keynes on March 8th.

The new development, at the junction of Childs Way and Northfield Drive, features a 16 new car showroom for BMW, together with a used car facility displaying over 100 cars inside and out. The Mini showroom extends to present 10 new Minis, with 38 used vehicles on display outside.

There is also a 21 bay workshop including 2 MOT bays – plus a dedicated tyre bay with a further area for smart repairs, preparation and valeting.

The development has also brought 10 new jobs to the city.

The showroom and workshops extend to 67,000sq ft. (6,200sq m) on the 4 acre site. That’s more than four times the size of the previous facilities at Kingston.

Wayside Group only took over the BMW & Mini franchise in October 2008 and since then extensive investment by the group has seen the business grow to such an extent that the old premises at Kingston were soon too small. Ambitious plans meant that a new site was required and Northfield was then acquired and planning permission sought.

“This is one of our most ambitious and exciting developments in the city since we started in business here over 30 years ago” said Wayside Group Managing Director, John Caney. “This really is a statement to every driver in the area that Wayside is ‘Serious about Service’. We’re part of the city’s motoring landscape and we’re here to stay.”
