Social Paint is a new alternative night out for people who are looking for something different. It’s a pop-up social event that takes place at bars, pubs, restaurants, galleries, offices, or even in homes.
Events are tailored for those who consider themselves to “not know how to paint”. Step-by-step instruction by a trained artist leads participants through a painting, stroke by stroke, growing more confident along the way.
“The events are focused on the fun and are not formal, so you can feel at ease and have a good time with your friends.” says Julie Rautenstrauch, owner of Social Paint.
“We create a non-judgemental, open minded, non-competitive, relaxed, and fun atmosphere so that you feel confident creating with your inner child. Social Paint events fill a void shared by many adults in our society; the social need to connect in person with others, and the desire for a creative outlet. Sipping your favourite wine or cocktail, letting your inner artist out to create a masterpiece and maybe breaking into song throughout the night is what we have planned for you. Leave your cares at the door and dive into the paint party! Best part is that you take your artwork home with you and leave the clean up behind.
“Our events are great for a date night, friend’s night out, or to meet someone new. We believe that everyone can paint and that all we need sometimes is a little guidance. Pairing painting with enjoying a glass or two of your favourite vino is a timeless pastime and we are bringing it to the night life in Milton Keynes.”
Social Paint events during November include Thursday 6th at The Slug and Lettuce, Friday 7th at Buszy, and Thursday 20th at The Crown in Stony Stratford.
