The latest business barometer survey by Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce is now live and all firms are being invited to take part to get the fullest picture of the local economy.
The Chamber’s Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) is asking for feedback from businesses on their experiences of trading during Q4 of 2014.
Firms are questioned on a wide range of topics including: home sales and orders, export sales and orders, employment prospects, investment, recruitment difficulties, cashflow, confidence and price pressures.
Each Chamber in the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) network carries out the QES and all of the regional results are fed through to the BCC and then passed on to national Government and the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), providing them with an accurate national economic overview.
Paul Griffiths, Chief Executive of Milton Keynes Chamber, said: “This national QES is the largest business survey of its kind and is widely used by the media and politicians alike to gain an overall picture of the UK economy and the issues facing businesses.
“It is also used by the Bank of England and can influence the MPC on interest rate decisions.
“With this in mind, we can then lobby Government on their behalf to put measures in place that will support them.”
