Milton Keynes MPs Iain Stewart and Mark Lancaster joined Network Rail today to kick off a year-long recruitment campaign to fill hundreds of new roles at the company’s new national centre. Plans to close Tesco’s Fenny Lock distribution centre could put hundreds of jobs at risk, a union has warned. The supermarket is closing its site and transferring the work to a new centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. All the existing 764 staff will be offered the chance to work at the new centre, said Tesco. But union Usdaw described the announcement as “devastating” for those...

Businesses with 5 to 250 employees in Milton Keynes are being offered a new grant of up to £1,000 to assist them in reducing the cost of business travel.    These are match-funded grants available from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and accessible through Business Link.
