Bradville-based Beardow Adams his won its fifth Queen’s Award in its 36th year of trading.
The 2012 Queen’s Award for International Trade follows the Export Awards won in 1994, 1999 and 2007 and Innovation Award in 2002.
The company is a world-leading hot melt adhesive manufacturer, supplying glue to attach labels to products – from bottles and jars to wood panels and car trim.
“It’s a great boost for our eighty-five staff and something they richly deserve” says Nick Beardow, the company’s Sales and marketing Director.
Nick says, “Everyone here is really proud of the way that the things we make in Milton Keynes are going all round the world. It proves that Britain really can compete, we’re delighted to be a part of the export drive and greatly honoured by this award.”
Beardow Adams has grown to a £50m per annum turnover company, selling to leading global brands including Coca Cola, Colgate and Unilever and has its sites set on becoming more established in the Asia-Pacific region. It already sells to Singapore, the Phillippines and Indonesia, and is aiming to develop market share in japan, China and Korea.
